With so many of those people occupying high level STEM job roles being aged over 50, it is clear there is a lack of young people within the industry.
Currently, there are too few young people studying on STEM courses and so we have been left with a skills gap that needs to be filled.
As one of the leading training providers in Leicestershire, Loughborough College has embraced this need and has a number of programmes available to help bridge this gap.
We are the first college to be able to offer a Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship, as well as a number of other STEM-related programmes.
Our training approach is extremely flexible and can accommodate both young people and mature students depending on your company’s needs.
