Everybody working in a health and care environment needs to be aware of the risk of infection and how it can be reduced. This programme is designed to provide an introduction to infection, how it is spread and ways to prevent or minimise infection.

The Key learning objectives are:

  • The chain of infection
  • Recognising the signs of infection
  • How to prevent the spread of infection
  • Good practice in infection control
What Are The Requirements?

There are no formal requirements however participants need to be working in either the Health & Social Care sector or in the Childcare Learning & Development Sector.

How Is This Course Delivered?

This is delivered as a full day course in the workplace. Dependant on the course a written assessment or a multiple choice question sheet will be completed by the participants at the end of the day.
