Creative and Therapeutic Activities

The Creative and Therapeutic Activities day has been designed to incorporate a blend of teaching and activity based learning to give busy care workers the opportunity to explore the wide range of creative and therapeutic activities appropriate to the users in their setting.
It will assist the participant in understanding the value of activities and the factors which can influence the choice of activities for patients/service users. It will also improve knowledge of how to plan activities and how activities benefit patients/service users.
The Key learning objectives are:
- Helps identify existing skills and knowledge
- Identifies a wide range of creative and therapeutic activities
- Identifies the value of different activities for service users
- Identifies different activities suitable for specific needs of individuals
- Examines aspects of health and safety legislation, regulations and codes of practice
There are no formal requirements however participants need to be working in the Health & Social Care sector.
Course Delivery Options:
This can be either a half or full day training course which can be provided at your setting at a suitable date agreed.
